Currently I’m working on the next version of pagebar. You may have noticed that the development of version 1.x has almost stopped completely. That’s because I’m currently working on version 2 of pagebar.

Here are the highlights of the things coming soon:

• First of all, pagebar v2 will be a real plugin! What does that mean?
  Currently you have to open index.php, find the end of “The Loop” and enter some php code. Then you have to edit style.css and enter some wacky CSS code. For some people this is not an easy task to do, since they are journalist or writers and not programmers.
  With version 2 you simply have to activate the plugin and you’re done!
• Configuration will be done through an option page and no longer needs manual editing of the function call.
• Loads of new configuration possibilities.
• Gallery of predefined styles to choose from.
• Import and export of pagebar configurations.
• Previews

Not all of these features will be available in the first 2.0 version. I just wanted to outline where the development of the plugin will be going.
